The platform
A portal and an app for every institution
Each institution has its own E2E portal and its own app. All of the apps are built from one shared codebase, so they work, and handle information, in the same way.
The institution's own portal
Records are kept in the institution's learning management system. The app shows what is held there and sends back what users enter.
An app in the institution's name
Students, parents and staff sign in to their own institution's app, which connects to that institution's portal.
Readable when the connection drops
Screens a user has already opened stay readable offline. Cached content is cleared after 24 hours and when the user signs out.
Privacy and security
Built to handle student information carefully
Each app's privacy policy describes these measures in detail.
No ads or tracking
No advertising, analytics or behavioural tracking tools, and no advertisements.
Encrypted connections
All communication with the institution's server uses HTTPS, and unencrypted traffic is disabled.
Protected sign-in
Passwords are never stored on the device. The session is kept in Android's protected credential store.
Safe on shared devices
When a different account signs in, the previous account's cached content is erased first.
Minimal device access
The apps do not access location, contacts, the camera or the microphone.
The institution decides
Each institution decides what is recorded, who may see it and how long it is kept.
